3 Skincare Staples

When it comes to my skin, I like to keep things simple. I don't have problematic skin, so I find that I don't need to use many products to keep it looking fresh. Recently I have been using these three as a skincare combo and I find that they work really nicely together to keep my skin glowing and looking healthy.

This combo is also great for those on a budget, or have no money (ahem, me.) as they all are so ridiculously cheap. Bonus!

Soap and Glory Off Your Face 3-in-1 Daily Purifying Cloths - I'm all for buying the old cheap Simple wipes, but I think that these are worth the money for that extra care when removing makeup. I tend to use these every other night, with either Simple makeup wipes or Garnier Micellar Water for the others. I find this gently exfoliates whilst removing my makeup and is a great addition to any skincare collection.

Soap and Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash - can I just take a moment to say that this is amazing. I've tried so many facial scrubs since I started caring about skincare and this is hands down the best one I have tried. It's exfoliating yet gentle, and I enjoy using this on a daily basis. The recommendation is to use a grape sized amount and lather it into your face then rinse. I then pat my face dry so I don't pull on the skin.

Newtons Labs Spot Zapping Gel - I mentioned before that I don't suffer from problematic skin, but there was a time when I used to get quite bad spots around my time of the month. They weren't spots exactly, but angry red lumps which wouldn't go away for ages afterwards. I tried some expensive creams which didn't work at all (I'm talking to you Freederm), and it wasn't until my mum suggested this little gel that they completely went.

I picked this up in my local Home Bargains for something like £1.99, and it has honestly changed my life. I no longer suffer from the angry lumps, due to the fact I apply a thin layer of this to my nose, forehead and chin every night. For such a cheap price, this gel is a godsend.

Lush Sale Haul

Ahhh, the Lush UK sale of 2016 was a quite a event wasn't it? If I'm being honest, it did occur to me while being in a massive (we're talking over 100,000 people here) queue why I sitting by my laptop waiting for the chance to have some Christmassy themed bathbombs on 26th December but then I remembered: this was Lush. Lush, who usually have bathbombs around £4, reduced to about £1.50. So I made sure my laptop wasn't going to randomly shut down and enjoyed the rest of my day while the queue was slowly decreasing ;)

Even though it's the 7th January, I decided to finally write this Lush haul before it rolls round to April! Maybe its too late now, but this post is happening so sit back and enjoy a lush smelling and relaxing Saturday afternoon blog post!

Unfortunately I haven't tried any of the bathbombs featured on this post as I was saving them to photograph, so I can't write any reviews! I have used a bathbomb called Tisty Tosty which smelt amazing, and left little roses in the bath which was really cool.

I love the look of Peeping Santa, Shoot for The Stars and Nevermind the Ballistics! I found a blog called All Things Lush UK which writes detailed reviews of all of the Lush products, including all of the ones I have featured today in case you wanted to purchase some next year.

Did you manage to buy a Lush product? What is your favourite?

5 Goals For 2017

Hello again, its only me! It feels so weird to blog again after such a long time - there is a whole new layout of Blogger! I seem to have got my blogging mojo back, I found myself becoming bored and unable to write interesting content before, and finally have the urge to write again! Sorry folks, you're going to have to keep seeing me updating this little space from now on :-)

2016 passed by so quickly for me, and I'm not sure I'm ready for 2017. This year holds lots of important celebrations; I turn 16, I will sit my GCSE exams (and hopefully pass, fingers crossed ;-)) and begin a whole new chapter of my life at sixth form. Its scary how fast time slips away!

I wanted to write a little list of my top 5 goals of 2017, resolutions if you like. I like to set myself little goals that I know I can achieve to take a more positive approach on the resolutions!

Revise and work hard for my exams, and hopefully good grades will follow
Focus on my health and body, and become more confident within myself
Photograph the little moments that make me happy and scrapbook them
Spend time blogging and building up social media connections
Build on relationships with those around me like my friends and family

What are your 2017 resolutions?
